Carpenter ants can pose a serious problem to your home’s structural integrity. If you see even a few carpenter ants inside your home, it’s a fair bet that you have an established colony inside your walls or crawl spaces.
Moisture ants are quite common in Oregon because of the relatively temperate climate and abundance of moisture which they thrive in best. You’ll often find them hiding in damp areas behind walls or beneath floorings.
Also known as odorous house ants, sugar ants are generally harmless but can be a nuisance once they locate a food source in your home. They can gnaw through boxes and thin plastic packages to feed and contaminate contents.
They’re named pavement ants because that’s where you’ll find them – on pavement and concrete. Also often referred to as concrete ants, they build nests beneath stones, under cracks of pavement, or adjacent to buildings.
Also known as field ants or harvester ants, thatching ants can bite and sting like hell. They have this peculiar behavior of collecting or “harvesting” seeds as their primary food source, hence the term harvester ants.
This type of pest ants derived their name from the way they look for food – they run all over the place like crazy! Crazy ants measure around 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch and are dark brown to black with a bit of gray sheens.
Argentine ants range in size from 1/16 to a quarter of an inch and are dark brown in color. Squash them and they’ll let off a stale and musty smell. They’re mostly found throughout the southeastern parts of the United States.
At only $39/month, you’ll receive customized quarterly services and ongoing monitoring to ensure your home and entire property are fully protected from ants and other pests.
Your yard will be the healthiest on your block and no beneficial insects will be harmed.
During my first visit, I take as much time as I need to get to know your home, inside and out. In addition to doing a full interior inspection for ants, mice and other house pests, I also check your yard and garden for plant pests including slugs, snails, mildew and fungal diseases. And while I focus on locating and fixing existing vulnerabilities, I don’t just stop there!
Next, I will continue to monitor your home and property with regular quarterly visits. Frequent monitoring allows me to ensure your old issues remain resolved, and I’m also proud to offer FREE emergency same-day services between my quarterly visits for any reason!
